4. Korean War Recognition Pin: Rep. Lane Evans (IL), ranking member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, advises that his office is distributing the official US Army Korean War Veterans Commemorative Pin to all Korean War veterans and their surviving relatives. The pins are available at no cost and will be distributed through the end of 2003. Korean War vets should submit their name, address, phone number, branch and years of service to Evan's office. Requests can be sent via email to ginny.shelton@mail.house.gov or can be mailed to the district office at 1535 47th Avenue, Moline, IL 61265. Concurrent Receipt Update.
It is now Law. All retirees with at least 20 years of service and VA
disability ratings of 50% or higher will see their military retired pay
offsets phased out over a ten-year period starting January 1, 2004.
7. Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC); The recently enacted Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC) will be expanded to include all combat-related (Purple Heart) disabilities from 10% to 100% ratings, and combat (training) operations-related disabilities from 50% to 100% rating.
