All Fury and Shark Family members should be contacted by their Paratrooper in reference to the mail cut-off. Second week in January is the time frame. After that, all mail will be re-directed to Italy. After that, no telling where the next unit's S-1 will send it. Happy New year, we finally have snow!!! Thanks to all the FRG members who supported the Paratroopers of the battalion during Christmas with the stockings. Additionally, Mrs. Jacobs and her supporters who put together the Shoe Boxes, a warm welcome from the men. All of the boxes arrived on time. Shark 7

I just want to confirm what the person a couple blocks down from me had posted. With family members visiting from the states. You are eligible for a family member extended pass. You will initially have be signed in at the gate with your sponsor/soldier and then proceed to the pass and badge office. Which your soldier should know where that is. There hours are 0800-1200 1300-1600. Closed Italian holidays. All you will need is your soldiers ID card and your US passport. It takes about ten minutes maximum. You will be printed a paper pass for up to 90 days. You will need to carry this pass at all times along with your passport. All you have to do is show these two documents at the gate and you that will be your access onto the installation. Family members with this pass may be allowed on without your soldier present. Like the person had said this does not give you privileges to shop at the px commisarry or shopette. Hope everyone has a great new year and a safe one as well and god bless our troops and the countdown is on!!!

Dear Mr. Bradley Thank you so much for the pictures for our son was where they are taken and he was there at Christmas. It was wonderful to know that he was not forgotten and special efforts were made to help his squad through this Christmas. It was also wonderful to see pictures of your son, It seems that the apple has not fallen far from the tree when it comes to bringing joy to others. God bless you and your family and thank you for all you have done to bring us the blessing of this website. I know that if I could not come here to look at pictures and meet all the new friends it would have been a very hard year. sincerely liz

Well tonight we bring our soldier back to the airport after two wonderful weeks at home. We did so much that the time just flew by. He had the chance to see many friends who were also home from college and Navy and Marine's it was so good to see them all together again. Our soldier has been out every night to the wee hours having a blast sleeping til well after noon time and starting all over again and we have been right there with him trying to keep up as best we old folks can. i'll tell you I need some rest between the cooking and partying I'm just about ready for rehab!!!! But I wouldn't want it any other way this has been the most fun he has had since we went to Italy to see him last Nov. I am so grateful for the time we have had together. A few more months and he will be out of that hell hole and I pray they won't have to be redeployed for a long time to come. Happy New Year to everyone I pray for all your sky soldiers safety and that they will all be home safe and sound soon. Michele D

Thank you all for the information. . . I have booked the hotel room and I look forward to seeing my soldier. Im going to stay in town, I figure it will be easier bc of all the worries of getting on base. I wish I could be there when they get back but the timing of when is so roundabout. For those of you who are coming here in Italy and don't know where to stay i can suggest some hotels easy to reach and not far from the Ederle base. these are the websites of each one, you can even find an English language version and get all the informations you need. go to www.arieshotel.it  or www.hotelpiramidi.com  (this is in front of a big mall called LE PIRAMIDI, you can find it easily) and www.hotelvictoriavicenza.com . These hotels are pretty close to the A4 Milan-Venice highway exit Vicenza Est, and 5 minutes far from Vicenza and from the Ederle base. Also, from Venice airport a bus leaves almost every hour to several destinations, take the one for Vicenza and ask to stop on the Vicenza bus station called FTV. from there you can take a taxi to go to the hotels or to the base, from vicenza bus station you can even take the town buses (the orange ones) and take the one to VIALE DELLA PACE, it leaves you right in front of the Ederle base. Hope this helps! I wish you all enjoy your italian holidays

Well it ain't over until ALL the Sky Soldiers arrive back in Vicenza, then starts the reintegration process. Bear in mind this can be 1-2 weeks. Also that your Sky Soldier will have changed. As much as he wants to be with his family and friends and party like its 1999 (an expression), he will subconsciously free the loss of community - (his brothers he lived with the last 12 months). As he changed and adopted, he must now adapt to his new world - that's why an re-integration process. Even with that, he still may be jumpy, very opinionated and short tempered. The home experience is familiar but new to him. He may feel out of place, but feel right at home, a confusing time. Patience and understanding is required. I recommend reading chuck dean's book, "Down Range" prior to your loved one coming home - Just some friendly advice.

For those of you visiting Italy upon the return of our soldiers, most of the time open access is granted to get on post (at least that has been the case when my friends and family have visited) if you go to the office by the MP desk to get an extended visitors pass. This keeps you from having to sign in each time you go onto post. You just show them your form (which will say unaccompanied access authorized - or something like that) and your passport and you should be fine. I think it only applies to US Citizens. You have no buying privileges except at eating establishments, but that should be sufficient. Hope you all have success with your trips to Italy.

It seems like a lot of you are going to be able to go to Vicenza when the guys come back from Afghanistan. We won't be able to go again...would everyone please cheer REALLY loud so it sounds like we're all there? Thanks. My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Due More in the middle of Vicenza for a few days, very clean and nice European style, but also at the base hotel, very clean and nice and American style (not to mention the desk clerks all speak English) It was very difficult moving through the security gates on the base though, almost impossible when our soldier wasn't with us, so I'd really recommend staying in town. Anyone that might want the phone numbers or websites of the hotels, I still have them if you want to e-mail me. Thanks again Mr. Bradley for helping all of us work our way through the last ten months! Happy New Year everyone!

I heard from my boyfriend 1/508 A CO yesterday in an email and then this morning he woke me up with a phone call. I had not heard from him in quite awhile but I remained calm and patient. I know he's busy and dealing with a lot over there. These guys have been thru so much this last 10 months and now they are on the home front stretch to come home. I thought I was dreaming when he called. I had to pinch myself. He sounded good, we laughed and joked a bit, but I could hear the home sickness in his voice. I unfortunately will not be able to be there when he gets off the bus. BUT, I know many of you will and that is good to know. They deserve so much for all they've given. I hope ya'll had a great holiday season and everyone just keeps there heads and hearts in the right place. These Men and Women deserve it!!! I love you David and I can't wait to see you.

That's it.. the hotel Mary. really small!! And yes, the hotel caserma ederle fills up super fast. I was only able to stay a couple nights. staying off base is nice though, because every time you want to go on, you have to get your passport out and a paper that the base approves for you to be on. staying off base, you're free to roam as you please and go to your hotel when you please. Good luck Amanda!

I have stayed at the Hotel Ederle before while visiting my husband, and at the same time, My husbands friend's fiancée stayed there as well -so guests can stay at that hotel over night. That hotel really books up fast though, so if you are going, you should try to reserve a room asap.

The Hotel Ederle is on base and I'm pretty sure that guests aren't allowed to be signed onto the post overnight. The Hotel Mary is right off post...I don't know much about it. If your soldier has transportation (or can rent/borrow a vehicle), I would recommend the Hotel Due Mori in the centre of Vicenza, that's where I have my family stay when they visit...its decently priced and comfortable...also nice to stay downtown where you can walk to restaurants, etc.

There is a hotel on base that you can stay at. Making reservations ahead of time is good. I know that one time I went, I was only able to get it for a couple days because they were booked! There is a hotel across the street, pretty small rooms, and also around town. I am going in March and staying off base. If you need anything more let me know!! He found a place for me. God Bless!!

I also depend on this site to keep somewhat of a bond with my son in Afghanistan. Everyday for the last 10 months first thing I do is log on. For a moment imagine the last 10 months without this site. It has given us some peace of mind and comfort. Thank you Mr. Bradley from us all over the United States for your heartfelt time and effort, your good deed definitely touches my heart here all the way out in California. Let's keep in site that it's about our loved ones, lets remember that family members of loved ones already lost still read this site. Let's honor those who have lost their lives. One thing we can all do to honor them is by staying above the bickering, and take a long breather and get back on track. Good luck and stay low to our men and women over there! Our son served with the 173rd for three years and made the jump into Iraq. We had both the honor and the pleasure of visiting Italy on several occasions and meeting many Sky Soldiers. The unit will always be a part of our family's life and will always be in our hearts. I spend probably more time than I should on the website that James Bradley has created and maintained. I think that we all owe a great debt to him. We always pray for the safe return of every member of the 173rd. Steven Becker and Family

This is ridiculous! We have are so close to having our loved ones back safe and yet people still find a way to cause havoc. So what if Mr. Bradley posts pictures up of his son. If I had a website, you had better believe I would post all pictures I had of my husband. I agree with the others who have said "if you want your soldier's picture posted -then you have to send it in to Mr. Bradley". Thank you Mr. Bradley for all you do. I am glad you go through those messages that post fear, because as a soldier's wife, I definitely don't need to be reading those messages like that. Out of the 1500 plus photos you may find about 15 of my son, that is 1%. I post them here so his sister (Also an Army Medic) stationed in Seattle can see what I get. Also his aunts, uncles around the country get to see him ....just like the other 99% of the people do when they send me photos.

Messages get deleted because of several reasons. 1. is spreading RUMOR, 2. is spreading FEAR,  3. is spreading HATRED. I understand women like to trouble share BUT when your sharing become spreading fear, that crosses the line. So no RUMORS, FEAR, HATRED or I'll delete it. As to photos, were did that come from? Photos used are in public domain or I was given the OK by the webmaster, etc or the photos were sent to me to be posted. I don't post everything I get, some are inappropriate! Lets focus on the troops and less on us and message board bickering.

There WAS a ceremony in Kandahar. That's not a rumor. Deleting messages of those seeking support is very wrong. Support is what this website is for. However, if you don't like the photos you see (I agree with a previous posting) then email the photos you wish to see to Mr Bradley - that's how he gets them! I have never sent photos cause my soldier would be very mad about it & it goes along with why you don't bother talking to the press. Some people consider things like that very personal, as we do. His pictures are for us, not the whole world.

Mr. Bradley set up this site, if there was any money involved in setting it up he paid it, he gives his time monitoring and up keeping this site, it is NOT a public site, it is a site provided by Mr. Bradley, NO ONE but Mr. Bradley has the right to decide what is published on this site and for my money he has done an outstanding job and provided a service that you would NOT have otherwise unless those that are complaining published a site of their own. Mr. Bradley. I for one thank you for providing this service for us and if you think I have said to much then you have the right to delete this message and I will stand by your decision and will continue to visit this site if you permit me.

I agree that Mr. Bradley has the authority and right to delete messages that he deems as inappropriate, but, to delete messages of concerns from families is not appropriate. I felt that Ms. Mitchell's comments were one in which she was deeply concerned about the welfare of her husband and hoped by putting it on this website, someone just might ease her mind or at least give her some support. Your deletion of her message has prevented that from happening. Ms. Mitchell, if you are still looking at this site, please don't let this one incident prevent you from returning. Maybe someone will address your concerns before Mr. Bradley can delete them. Please remember, there are other families that feel the same way you do.

I live by Fort Stewart, Georgia. The soldiers of the 3rd Inf Div have started coming home from Iraq by the hundreds. It's wonderful to see the excitement around town for the soldiers and their families. The town is decked out with signs, billboards, and of course lots of yellow ribbons. Also, if you aren't familiar with ITR, they offer 2-3 tours a week, mostly in Italy, but with some trips to Switzerland and Austria. Around certain holidays they usually offer a 2-4 day trip to other places like Paris, Amsterdam, Poland, etc. All the tours include transportation and some have guided tours. If you aren't interested in the trips they have scheduled, they usually have good information you can get on specific destinations that interest you and what there is to do there.

Hello to all. We had a wonderful Christmas Holiday. My son, Sean A Co. 2/503rd got to Philadelphia at 1:41pm Friday the 23rd. We stopped to get him his cheese steak. After 5 days of travel he played with his 2 year old daughter and fell asleep for 13 hours. He was exhausted. On the flight from Atlanta to Phila he sat in first class. We went right up to the gate where he got off the plane, we hugged him, and he saw his daughter. Not much talking but alot of tears. On Christmas day our local TV station came to our house to interview him. Very tastefully done. Here is the article I would like to share with all of you. ( http://www.wfmz.com/cgi-bin/tt.cgi?action=viewstory&storyid=11575# )just copy and paste. GOD BLESS OUR SKY SOLDIERS. John McDonald

i happened to look at the casualty list today and saw the names of brave men and women who were killed on this Christmas day. Although they are not part of the 173rd, many can relate to the feeling of loosing a soldier, not to mention on Christmas. May we continue to keep those Gold Star families in our prayers who are part of the 173rd and those who serve in different areas... they are still heroes and defend America. God bless our sky soldiers, you all and your families. May the next year bring more peace!!!

All: Just received the 2006 edition of the 173d Calendar. Jim Bradley put together a calendar exclusive and expressly for Afghanistan Combat Troopers. And this edition of the 173d Calendar is a collector's issue. Pictures show the daily life of what the men are experiencing, minus combat footage of course. But if someone happened to have a camera, and the subject matter was not offensive I'm sure Bradley would give it due consideration for the 2007 173d Calendar. Speaking of which, when you men send Bradley pictures, please indicate who is one each photo. Said photo or photos with names of those pictured will serve to capture each person for historical purposes. Don't miss out on your future, for some $13.00 you'll have yourself a keepsake.

It's official! Late last night, the U.S. Senate passed Resolution 343 designating December 19-25 as a time to say thanks to our troops serving around the world. Now it's up to us to spread the message quickly. WE NEED YOUR HELP During Thank a Soldier Week (December 19-25), Townhall.com is encouraging Americans to stop for a moment and give thanks to the men and women risking everything for us. Word for Thank A Soldier Week is only going to spread as far as we send it and we are counting on you to help us multiply our efforts tenfold! If everyone just tells one other person, we will double the number of people who will be thanking soldiers and that's going to have a major effect on the morale of our troops and our leaders. Tell Your Friends Today! http://www.thankasoldierweek.com/tell_a_friend.html I just wanted to pass this on to all of you. And to all those 173rd soldiers reading this A BIG THANK YOU FROM A 173RD MOM. You are so speical. Thanks so much for being where you are and fighting for our Freedom. I was told by the airlines that they would not allow me to board from the US on over w/o permission from the consulate. I contacted the consulate and that is what they told me. Because I wasn't going over w/ command sponsorship, they told me they could not allow me to travel into Italy on a one way. What I find interesting, though, is that I could have flown into Amsterdam, taken a European flight from Amsterdam down to Italy and been fine. So, there are ways around it. It REALLY didn't make sense to me, but because of what I was told I ended up purchasing the round trip and not using the return leg right away. I'm simply sharing what the Italian Consulate in Chicago told me, if you're concerned, go ahead and contact your regions consulate, keep us all up to date, too. Any information to save someone a headache is well worth it.

If this is any help, I am a spouse and I have never had a problem with flying with just my passport and Visa. Technically you are allowed in a foreign country for 90 days, that's what I have always been told. Granted, things change. But right now I am currently in the states for the holidays and I am heading back to Italy in Jan. and this is the 3rd time i have been back and forth this year and never had a problem. I could understand if you were flying Space-A travel that you would need your husbands orders, but if you are flying commercial you shouldn't need his orders, I have never been asked for my husbands orders. And the only other time you would need your husbands orders is if for some reason the military is paying for your flight or your on TDY. Like I said, this is coming from what I have experienced. I fly with NWA and have not had a problem nor with DELTA either. I hope this helps. If I can help anyone else, I will gladly.

From what I understand, you do need your orders otherwise there is a chance that the airlines will not let you on board if you do not hold a valid return ticket and if they do, customs in Europe may turn you back. I had heard a rumor about all of this, actually from this board, and ended up contacting the consulate directly. The Italian Consulate in Chicago told me that Italy does not allow anyone to fly in on a one way ticket unless arranged by the US Government--military. I held a visa and I still had to have a round trip ticket.

Well my son has been home for just about a week and it has gone by fast!! He has been so good talking to people etc... Sometimes well meaning family and friends can ask the most stupid questions. But he is just being great with it all. I ordered the Army xmas stocking and 173rd ornament he really got a kick out of those. I'm doing my best to fatten him up but he is very good about staying away from too much junk food. He is out every night with friends from school and others home on leave from Marines and Navy its great that they can all be together for Christmas who knows when they will see one another again. Well have a wonderful Christmas everyone. I'm enjoying this last week with my son. Bye, Michele

Just an issue of caution for those wives/fiance's/family out there thinking about a 1-way ticket. I was flying to Italy on a one way because it was inexpensive and even with a visa I was not allowed to enter. However, if you have the proper documentation through the military, that is different. The consulate requires a return date on your ticket even if you're carrying a visa. Silly, but I don't want anyone to have to deal with this!

my son is in the states!!!!! ssgt clint mack has arrived in nc safely. he flew into Atlanta, ga and got to see his cousin tabitha at the airport for a short 10 minutes but i was so thankful when he hit us soil someone was there to meet him. he then arrived in nc where summer his wife and 2 year old daughter emma claire were waiting for him. clint called me in ca and said he no longer has a baby emma is a little girl, she recognized him right away and said my daddy is home. what a moment to remember. we will be meeting up with clint and the family on dec. 27th in disneyworld in fl. i cannot wait to see my son, he sounded good and was so glad to finally be on r&r. of course it was hard to leave the troops behind with the holidays and all but i did send all the presents to his men before clint departed so they had an early Christmas. seven days and my soldier will be in my arms. merry Christmas and happy new year to all of the 173rd soldiers and their families. proud mom of ssgt clint mack 2/503 chosen company and sgt chris mack presidential honor guard wash. dc

What I did was went through the phone book and wrote down all of the international airlines a called and asked all of them if they offered oneway military fares. Well turns out they do.

To the people concerning the soldier leaving on the 15th. It took my husband almost 5 days to get home. It depends on where they are leaving from and how many people are ahead of them on the flights out. They may get stuck in an airport in Afghanistan, or in Kuwaitt. My husband stopped 4 times from when he left Afghanistan, and wasn't able to call. I just had to keep checking with the USO at the airport for updated flight info, which was changed 4 times. I am sure she is fine, be patient, I know it is hard. Just think how it will be when you finally get to see her. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

Because you are right, I too was helped and have been there before. YOu are 100% right in all that you said, and I am glad that you a Soldier has spoken up as well. The biggest thing is talk to your Boyfriend/ Fiances ladies and hopefully they can get you in touch with a nice person or wife whom will help you too. Take Care All, and God Bless you All! :)

This is to "The Fiances" in response to the comments made by "A Wife". She makes some very good and valid points. "A Wife"'s now husband informed her FRG that she existed. She was put in contact with other wives and her husband requested the FRG assist her in any way they could. Now, granted, not all FRG's will do this. There are regulations to define the boundaries in which information may be given out. I suggest you ask your fiance/boyfriend if there may be wives in the unit that would be willing to help. I know "A wife" met with other girlfriend's or fiances while she was here and helped them mail packages or send letters. She, too, was helped in that same way. I know many wives that have gone through the same thing. Most of them DO get help. Most of them ARE given information. As a soldier, it is their responsibility to give the unit's FRG information about wives, girlfriend's or family that would like to be kept in the loop. As a fiance, you can not be on a roster, but someone may be able to share whatever information they CAN (OPSEC aside). I know soldiers in my unit that never gave their FRG their WIVES information. The FRG is only aware of people's existance in a soldier's life when the soldier gives the unit that information. Ask your man who you can talk to. I bet you he might be able to give you a buddy's wife's phone number or email. I've done it. It works if you give it a chance. Good Luck! AIRBORNE!

To the families who have lost their dearly loved soldier:… I don’t have the words to express my gratitude for the sacrifice your soldier made, nor do I know how to make the heartache disappear. On behalf of my family and myself, we want you to know that we are continually thinking of you and praying for your peace during this holiday season. Your soldier is a hero to all of us and will never be forgotten. I hope that I never know the loss you suffer, nor that anyone else will endure what you have. I believe that even in time of sorrow, that they are never more then a memory away, they look down upon us always and that someday we will be with them again forever. I have to say that I am grateful for the family we have become over this deployment. I know that the support on this message board has kept me going with a positive outlook. If you need anything feel free to contact me, I don’t know the loss, but I am always willing to listen with open ears and heart. We love you, God bless you and happy holidays. Gina

Come here, Sarah, find comfort, we all love you and want to help if you need us. I tell my two children everyday their dad died a hero and your children need and will know that. Through your tragedy, just know, you are not alone and I, along with many others, pray for your peace, your courage, and your strength during this trying time. To the family of Spc. Morton, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I know first hand the shock and pain you are feeling in this horrible time. I know that it has been said over and over but I am truely here for you now or later..whenever. for the other families that I have not sent my condolences too i am deeply sorry for that. With each new loss my hear is ripped open again. But I think of you all everyday and wish that we had our own support group. No one except the people who have walked this path understand. And this group here is one that understands the 173rd's bond. It is one unlike any other..ok maybe i'm just biased..but I've seen it, from the soldiers themselves to the families on this board. Not every unit has this available to them for the love and support they need. Ok, now I'm rambling so my point was that I am thankful for the skysoldiers and their families. Also, in this weeks People magazine(Best and worst 2005) there is a list in the back of all of our fallen soldiers from iraq and afghanistan. I hope you all get to see it. Love you all Merry Christmas.

Thank you. I've been worried about it ever since he told me what he did. I never want to be afforded the same respect that his parents deserve. My prayers to the family who lost a loved one. And my prayers to all who are worried (like I am) during this awful time of waiting. May we have patience with one another and nothing but love and support for the soldiers. God bless and protect them.

Give me a break. There is a soldier that just lost his life...have you thought about his family, his wife, his children who will not be able to grow up with there father? or have you just been thinking of yourself? I am sorry but I agree even if we are american girlfriends you have the same rights as we do. Just because your italian german chinese whatever does not mean anyone is conspiring against you. I am really getting sick of hearing the same old crap when there are more important things to be concentrating on. I dont doubt that you love your soldier but come on...What the heck is wrong with you?? Any of you. Building drama>? And just to let you know the wives who are in the states dont hear much either its not just you!!! It really hurts me to see this because my husband had to carry a coffin onto a plane and you people are sitting here worried about why your not married whether you have children or otherwise...this is absolutely ridiculous cant we all just stick together? Get the heck over it!!THINGS CoULD BE A LOT WORSE trust me.

To the person who told me if I've a child, why my fiancè didn't marrie me be4 he left,I say that we wanted to wait and we know why! What are you trying to say?! To be part of the Army"Family" you must get married?! That's sound wrong to me but this is only what I think but I also understands they can't give informations to everybody, easyly. I think we should help and support eachother and not argue and tell who's right to know or not. Right now I just wanted to give my condolence to the family of the fallen soldier. GOD BLESS OUR SKY SOLDIERS

to all the fiancées, wifes...in my eyes the real problem is not if the FRG is giving information to the girlfriends ,but the press posting events right away and making everyone paranoid. My boyfriend was astonished when he called me right after all this happened and he just heard about it and didn't even know what happened himself. I think it would be better for everyone if the press would have to wait with their news a day or two. I think also that it is a good advice to stay in close touch with the family of your soldier-i am together 7 years with my boyfriend and his parents and me always inform each other.. Also, i wanted to give my condolences to the family of the soldier who died and hope god gives them a way to ease their pain about their loss! it is especially hard to loose someone at this time of the year and i feel with them!

I think my story & situation will help Girlfriends/fiances a little. It doesn't matter if your Italian, American, German or whatever, when I met what is my now husband, I was in the states and he flew me over to Italy to be with him and we were going to get married in Italy, It didn't matter if I was an American or not, I was NOT able to get any information, I was NOT able to walk on to the post unless I was signed on, I had no rights or privileges! But I made the best of it. At the time, I couldn't even go into the PX, I had to sit in the food court while my fiance went into the PX, because I didn't have an ID Card, just a passport. 3 weeks after I got to Italy my now husband had to go to Germany for 6 weeks, I couldn't attend any FRG meetings, I couldn't even get onto post, I had to learn how to do everything on my own. And getting married in Italy was alot of paperwork and it's a long process, and me and my husband had NEVER been married before either. It's just something that as a girlfriend/Fiancee that you have to understand, I didn't take offense to it, when I couldn't get onto post or when I wasn't being told anything other than by my Fiance/ now husband. It's just the way it is. THere are reasons why things are the way they are. Like another said, it's OPSEC reasons, and it's the fact that we are the wives, we get the information before there families even do, when you become a wife, you become part of the army as well, things you do, what you say, reflects on your husbands post, his unit and him. Maybe this doesn't sound right, but I was once told this, "As a wife, you are trusted, you are trusted to stand by your husband and support him, and you are trusted with the information you receive and you are trusted to put the very best interest of your husband, his unit and brigade at interest". I know some may disagree so that is why I am speaking for myself and no one else. We get information and are briefed on things too. There are reasons why they just tell solely the wives, and I know another person just said that as well, and that person is very right. Security is a huge issue, I am not here to discriminate, I too have been where you girlfriends and Fiances are, but you just have to understand and when you become a wife, you too will understand. The best advice I can give you is keep the lines of communication open with your boyfriend/fiance, and like Mommaski said, get to know his family, that will help ALOT! Believe me Girlfriends/Fiances, I do Understand, I have been where your at, just stay strong and keep your faith! Your day too will come! :) Keep supporting your soldier the way you do, it's what they need and matters so much! Hang In Their!

I just have one question? Why did you and your soldier not get married if you feel you sould have the info? I would think that if you wanted to be informed maybe you should be a spouse. The rest of us did not get info before we were married and i would think if you have a child that he could have married you before he
